Decluttering your home is a good way to get rid of unwanted clutter in your life. It could be any object that you have in your home that is not being used. This could be anything from clothes, old decorations, or even books.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the items you need to declutter, it can be helpful to categorize them. For example, you might have categories such as clothes, books, toys or games.

2) Gather all the things that belong in that category for decluttering

When you’re feeling out of control, it can be hard to know where to start. It might feel like you need to organize your entire house at once. That’s why it’s helpful to focus on one room or section at a time. The next time you’re in the mood for a little organization, try decluttering this area of your home by gathering all the things that belong there.

3) Sort through the items in that category and decide what items stays and what goes

4) Organize: Put everything that is going into designated boxes

5) Assign the boxes with a label (think: “kitchen supplies,” “linens)

If you have a lot of extra storage space in your closet, why not use it to keep your items organized? Label each box with what you want to store in it. This will help you find everything when looking for the item.
